The Regina McPartlin Legacy was founded in 2014 to honor its friends who have established planned gifts or provided in their wills for La Casa de Maria and/or its Center for Spiritual Renewal.
Regina McPartlin was instrumental in the 1943 decision to purchase the 26-acre estate in Santa Barbara for the Immaculate Heart Novitiate. From 1951-1963 Regina served as leader of the Immaculate Heart Community, expanding its mission, overseeing the construction of 3 hospitals, and opening 15 schools. In 1955 she completed the design and building of La Casa de Maria. Regina was a true pioneer, embodying a unique combination of spirituality and business acumen. La Casa de Maria today continues to be a testament to Regina’s vision and passion.
