Retreat Amenities

Individual retreats at the Center for Spiritual Renewal are usually self-directed. Your retreat will begin with a mandatory group welcome and orientation; from then on the time is yours.  All meals, drinks and snacks are provided. The Center is surrounded by 26 acres of great natural beauty filled with mountain views, gardens, organic orchard, paths, a pool and labyrinth, and numerous places for quiet contemplation.  There is outdoor seating on the terrace patio, in the enclosed courtyard off the dining room, and benches throughout the property. The House overlooks the Sadako Peace Garden situated under the canopy of a 150 old Eucalyptus.

Guests can spend time reading, writing and relaxing in the privacy of their rooms or explore nature and hike mountain trails.  There is yoga Friday morning, Contemplative Prayer daily, a swimming pool, and massage booked through the La Casa de Maria registration office. Staff is available to answer questions and spiritual direction can be provided when requested.

The Terrace Room can be booked for small groups. The library offers an extensive resource of spiritual literature and quiet for reading.  Wi fi is available, though spotty at times.  There is limited cell phone coverage in the building due to the thickness of the walls.  Guests come for the quiet and opportunity not to be disturbed, respect for privacy and a noise free environment is desired.
