We’ll observe and create sketches of the signs of high summer, and learn essential watercolor skills that will allow you to celebrate the stunning natural beauty you will discover. Joni will provide a supportive and encouraging format especially designed to introduce watercolor “secrets of success” and core techniques.  This class is an introduction to OR a review of essential watercolor skills and applications, including seamless color washes, color mixing, the powerful effects of various brushstrokes, layering & glazing techniques, using resists, and more. You’ll experiment with a variety of papers (different colors and textures) and create several small paintings that incorporate essential watercolor skills. This class will offer you a boost in both experience and confidence as a painter.

Joni Chancer has facilitated art workshops nationally and internationally for over 20 years, inviting participants to discover, render, and celebrate the inspirational beauty of the natural world.
