Yoga & Mindful Movement at La Casa provides a series of gently held, personalized poses (asanas), breath work exercises (pranayama) and various relaxation techniques with all props and adaptions provided. It is meditative and rejuvenating; perfect for all ages, bodies and skill levels. Whether you are a long time practitioner, recovering from an injury, or a novice intent on connecting your body, mind, and soul, you will benefit from this healing, replenishing and balancing practice. This class offers a therapeutic approach utilizing individual adaptations to honor your unique age, body and skill level.
$12 per session at the door.
5 sessions for $55; 10 sessions for $100.
Lark Batteau received her teacher training at The Santa Barbara Yoga Studio in 1996. Since then, she has taught in most of the studios in the city. Since 2000 she devoted her studies to the Iyengar style with Nancy Roberts. For 15 years she held classes at The Unitarian Society, attending personally to every student, emphasizing the importance of alignment so that the Yoga postures could bring the most benefit. Because she is also a master Shiatsu Therapist, her deep knowledge of the body and it’s energy flows inform her work as a Yoga teacher, too. She is devoted to her students, helping them to cultivate flexibility, strength, balance, peace, wisdom, compassion, love and joy at every level.
