9:00 am - 2:30 pm

Program Leader
Rabbi Mike Comins

Many of the world’s great spiritual experiences take place out of doors — Buddha sitting under the Bo tree, Moses in the wilderness beholding a burning bush, and Jesus teaching thousands on the shores of Lake Galilee.

The day will begin with a moderate/intermediate level hike on a hiking trail close by to La Casa, accompanied by a special guest, Rabbi Mike Comins.  You will hike, meditate, chant, and discuss teachings led by Rabbi Comins. This portion of the day is organized by Montecito Shul and Los Padres Forest Watch.  It is optional and all participants will be required to sign a liability release form.

At 11:00 am the group will return to La Casa for a slower-paced nature exploration walk with meditation, chanting, activities, discussion and teachings.  A delicious La Casa lunch and more activities with Rabbi Comins round out the day.

Rabbi Mike Comins is the founder of Torah Trek and the author of Wild Faith

This day is co-sponsored by the Montecito Shul and Los Padres Forest Watch.
