Program Leader
Matthew Bennett, Leigh McCloskey

This immersive seminar represents a guided tour of archetypal representations of personality through art.  Artist Leigh McCloskey and psychologist Matthew Bennett will describe a mythic and psychological journey towards emotional completeness.  Referencing ancient mythological narratives as well as contemporary theories of personality development, presenters provide a map of human emotional experience called the Hieroglyph of the Human Soul.  The seminar will include visual and lecture presentations, conversation and discussion with participants, and meaningful interaction with Leigh’s evocative paintings.

Dr. Matthew Bennett is a licensed psychologist, psychotherapist, and lecturer in the Santa Barbara area.  He teaches coursework in clinical psychology and psychotherapy at Pacifica Graduate Institute and Reiss-Davis Child Psychoanalytic Institute.  He also lectures locally through the Aeolian Center for Psychotherapy.

Leigh McCloskey is an author, actor, artist and visual philosopher. He has written, illustrated and published six books, lectures both nationally and internationally and has given numerous talks and presentations of his holographic art and visual philosophy.
