Steve Jacobsen, and others
In March of 2013, the first pope from the Western Hemisphere was elected and took the name of St. Francis. Since then he has captured the world’s attention—from washing the feet of a Muslim girl during Holy Week to confronting the Vatican bureaucracy with the charge that they are suffering from “spiritual Alzheimers.” We will take this day to reflect on the impact he is having on the world.
Steve Jacobsen, La Casa’s Co-Director, will moderate the day, hearing from persons within the Catholic Church and other spiritual communities.
