Training in Healing and Transformation: Multicultural Wellness Education is a four part, one-year program presented by Capacitar International, an international training organization with over 26 years experience. Facilitated by Patricia Cane, PhD, Founder/Director of Capacitar International.

KEY FEATURES OF THE PROGRAM: Integrates spirituality, body wisdom practices with a research-based focus resulting in an experience that is truly holistic, incorporating body, mind and spirit. Adapts to all age groups and different levels of physical and mental ability. Designed so that those who learn the practices will pass this learning on to others who, in turn, will share it with even more people. Empowers individuals to actively participate in their own healing processes by regaining and maintaining balance of body, mind and spirit energy.

This program focuses on developing personal and community vision and skills for those who are working in outreach services, in the healing professions, as well as in education, ministry, psychology, social work, spirituality and volunteer work. This intensive program of 4 weekend sessions over a year uses rigorous curriculum with practicum and qualifies for 60 CEs.

Professionals or volunteers serving individuals or groups in need of healing due to poverty, physical or mental illness, abuse, trauma or violence will find this training invaluable. The healing, education, ministry, psychology, social work and spirituality practitioners are able to apply the lessons of the training immediately to the populations with whom they work. Participants will learn to teach and apply wellness modalities including Tai Chi movement meditation, breathing practices, simple massage practices, polarity, visualization, energy exercises, active listening, chakra theory and exercises, and acupressure protocols.

An internship in a setting of the participant’s choosing is a requirement for certification and will be discussed with each applicant.

This is Module 4 of the four part series.  Each module is $425, the series over the year is $1700. Payment will be required prior to each module. In addition to an application fee of $25, a single non-refundable $200 deposit ($50 per module) is required when registering for the first module.  If the participant joined this series with the first module, then the cost for the third module is $375 total for residential ($425 residential fee, minus the $50 deposit already paid) , or $275 total for commuter ($325 commuter fee, minus the $50 deposit already paid).   A limited number of partial scholarships may be available.
