“Nature craft” is elevated to art in this workshop that offers creative gratitude to the Earth, our Mother.

Join us for an artful nature “scavenger hunt” at La Casa de Maria as we honor the Earth. Use discovered bits of beauty and choose from a collection of several art-making stations to create a variety of lovely pieces:

  • a hand-carved stamp honoring the earth,
  • a beautiful glass ornament filled with signs of spring,
  • an illustrated poetry card featuring your personal printmaking,
  • a lovely mixed-media hanging collage that activates a wind chime (perfect for hanging on budding branches),
  • prayer flags embellished with your personal printmaking,
  • and gilded stones to place on shrines.

We’ll create painted “gathering journals” (embellished with your printmaking designs) from recyclable materials for collecting samples.

We’ll have lots of fun, and any of these projects would make lovely gifts to share with others.

Joni Chancer has facilitated art workshops nationally and internationally for over 20 years, inviting participants to discover, render, and celebrate the inspirational beauty of the natural world.
