NOTE: This class is now full.  If you would like to be placed on a waiting list for the program, please call (805) 456-4220. Thank you!

This is a foundational class in printmaking, highlighting several different methods of creating prints using a variety of inexpensive, non-toxic, readily available materials. We will be inspired by the body of work of Corita Kent in terms of composition and layout, color and vibrancy, shape and form, and message and emotion. Think rich, pure color, expressive, gestural imagery, and glorious inspirational entry points for composition. You’ll create a small set of four hand-printed cards, a multi-print layered composition, and a “painted” monoprint  you’ll want to frame.

Joni Chancer has facilitated art workshops nationally and internationally for over 20 years, inviting participants to discover, render, and celebrate the inspirational beauty of the natural world.
