How can we cultivate deep caring for ourselves and our loved ones that extends beyond our immediate circle to include others and our world? In this series we will work with three approaches that can weave a spiral of caring moving out from self, to others, and to the world. Compassion meditation opens the heart with safety and kindness. Deep connection practices help us to remember and experience that all is relationship. And Joanna Macy’s Work that Reconnects offers a model for moving into compassionate action. .
The Work that Reconnects draws from deep ecology, systems theory and spiritual traditions. It inspires motivation, creativity, courage, and solidarity for the transition to a sustainable human culture.
Mindfulness and Compassion Meditation, nature-based practices, and reflections on healing and compassion will guide us.
One of La Casa de Maria’s core mission areas is to work towards the Renewal of the Earth. We are honored to offer this series to the community.
