Bodhichitta is the Buddhist term for the yearning to wake up fully for the sake of all beings.  As we remember who we really are we feel alive and well and experience a longing to help others to feel the same way.  Drawing on the teachings of Western and Buddhist psychology, and of Indigenous spirituality, we will explore how mindfulness and compassion meditation, deep nature connection practices, and learning to be with our pain in a kind way can awaken the embers of bodhichitta that we each carry in our hearts.

Michael Kearney, MD, and Radhule Weininger, MD, PhD, will co-lead. Michael is a physician in palliative and hospice care and author of the forthcoming book, The Nest in the Stream: How to be With Our Pain. Radhule practices psychotherapy and teaches meditation and is the author of the forthcoming book, The Compassionate Choice.
