Program Leader
Michael Kearney

Alienation from nature, “nature deficit disorder,” may lead to impaired health and quality of life.  While this has reached epidemic proportions in young people today, it is also a problem for older people.  Together we will reflect on nature’s many benefits and experience simple practices for coming into a deeper connection with nature.   All are welcome.  This day is intended especially for all those who are 55 and older, including those who are mobility challenged.

Michael Kearney is a physician and author.  He works in hospice and palliative care and has published two books dealing with psychological and spiritual healing in serious illness.
